The Company
Since its inception INWASOL has realized water projects in 12 countries.
Water is a complex issue. The experience showed us that only combined Know How and the involvement of specialised competences from planning over technologies to long term operation results in successful projects. That was the background to form a group of German market leaders, which cover all aspects from the lifecyle of a water project. The result is a unique concept for “German Competence in Water as a One Stop Shop”
In addition INWASOL creates new concepts and innovative business models for water projects. Here our focus lies on decentralized concepts for drinking and sewage water with upscaling potentials. Examples are: container concepts for rural and suburban areas, mobile disinfection services, septic tank management models, water loss reduction methods or franchise models for water entrepreneurs.
As a subsidiary of Grasshopper Investments, which is specialised on private financing for water projects, the horizon of INWASOL comprises always the project side as well as it its implications for the financing side.
to fund sustainable water projects. Grasshopper Investments focus are emerging markets, where lack of financing is a major obstacle to realize water projects, particularly in Asia, South America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
schemes, by creating new jobs or by cooperating with Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). Thus, Grasshopper Investments is also founding member of Clean Water e.V., a German Charity Association that aims to improve the availability of clean drinking water where it is needed. The current main activities and projects of Clean Water e.V. are the installation of water kiosks and the support of NGOs in India such as “United for Hope”.
Both associations have decided on a cooperation to enable clean drinking water in sustainable showcase villages from United for Hope in India. The first joint project was implemented in Tirmasahun, a village in Uttar Pradesh of 4.000 People.
